WHAT HAPPENED?
According to a report by , Spanish second division side Deportivo La Coruna are eyeing a move for Carlo Ancelotti’s son, Davide, as their new manager. After assessing various options, the Spanish side, which ended 15th last season, have identified the 35-year-old as their key managerial target, and negotiations are expected to start soon.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ancelotti has been working for a long time, mainly as an assistant to his father at Real Madrid, Napoli, Bayern Munich, and Everton. However, he is yet to work as a manager. Over the past weeks, he was linked with Scottish side Rangers, but they ultimately went on to sign former Southampton boss Russell Martin. If Davide pens a deal with Deportivo, this will be his first managerial role.
